ReFresh is a nonprofit resale store in the St. Louis, Missouri area that offers fashionable clothing for people of all (adult) sizes and ages.

The store’s primary goal is to raise funds for children in foster care, ensuring they have access to all the essentials they need. ReFresh is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition: www.foster-adopt.org.

The store’s inventory includes a vast selection of gently used designer clothing, shoes, and accessories at affordable prices.

ReFresh offers an inclusive shopping experience for all customers, regardless of their body size, gender identity, or age.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create permanency in the lives of foster children by recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families in the metro St. Louis region. We achieve this by raising funds through an inclusive resale store, providing children in foster care with the essentials they need. At the heart of our mission is our commitment to ensuring people of all ages and backgrounds have access to a welcoming shopping experience.

Our Team

Nick Kelley
Director of ReFresh

Nick is a dynamic member of the ReFresh team, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for fashion and community service. He is a St. Louis native and was born and raised in South City. Over the past decade, he has successfully built an online vintage clothing shop while also selling at various pop-up shops in the St. Louis area. He is an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and for empowering people.

Tammy Hayes
ReFresh Manager

Tammy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Saint Louis University. Throughout college, she worked for Ann Taylor while pursuing her degree, and later served as a supervisor for a national trucking company for twelve years. Despite her successful career in the logistics industry, Tammy’s love for clothing and design remained a constant passion. After volunteering at ReFresh, Tammy was inspired to make a career shift and joined the Coalition team as Volunteer Coordinator. 

Melissa Bailey
Procurement and Production Manager

Melissa started her career in retail as a cashier for a gift shop chain, becoming the regional manager after one year. She continued on to become a retail sales manager for a multimillion-dollar thrift store company and was later promoted to production manager. Melissa is a proud St. Louis native, having grown up in University City. She has a passion for fashion and is super excited to help you find your next coveted item.

Adam Drennan
ReFresh Manager

Adam has previous experience as an Assistant Retail Sales Manager/Donation Manager of a multimillion-dollar thrift store company. Coming from a retail Management background, he is excited to use his knowledge at an organization that gives back to the community by providing resources for foster and adoptive families. He is eager to help the Coalition’s mission through the sales of Refresh, to provide excellent customer service and clothes for youth in care.
